Artifacts with headphones

Love the product. Immediately bought a license.

I wear headphones on my video calls. It seems that the algorithms are having issues detecting the boundaries of head/headphones. I am seeing artifacts generated around the headphone area. It is especially poor in the “gap” between the top of the headphones and the top of my skull. Haven’t seen anything to tweak but wanted to feedback in case it helps. (tried to attach an image but forum disallowed image).

Do you also have a screenshot of how it originally looks like without a filter?

This is usually caused by objects or lack of contrasting colors/shades in the background which can interfere with VCam’s ability to distinguish the your figure from the background.

We’ve just rolled out our 2.0 Beta version with improved background removal AI. You can try the Adaptive Filter option which improves the segmentation of hands and objects.

You can find the 2.0 installer here VCam 2.0 Beta is here! 2x Improved AI / Hardware Driver Installation / Image and Video Background Configuration.
