Hardware Error on launch

I get the following error on launch. I already followed the steps in the link provided with the error but my intel drivers are up to date and the registry key is not present on my windows installation.

What else can I do?

I’m running Win 10 Home (10.0.19041 Build 19041)

Hi @aphex3k_xsplit-vcam,

Here’s a link for solving hardware errors at launch: https://www.xsplit.com/vcam/troubleshooting/hardware-error

Also, try to check if your setup has the latest drivers based on your motherboard or laptop manufacturer’s website.

If you encounter additional issues, you can contact the Support team at https://www.xsplit.com/support

As I pointed out in my initial post, I already followed the steps from the link you posted. And the support link pointed me he, so we are now back to square one.

@aphex3k_xsplit-vcam Can you provide a copy of your MSINFO file? Here’s how to generate one: https://www.xsplit.com/support/useful-tools/generating-an-msinfo32-file

I also have the same issue as @aphex3k_xsplit-vcam. My computer recently updated its display driver, and now VCam refuses to load with the hardware error problem.

Also similarly, I’ve tried all the steps on the aforementioned troubleshooting page. I don’t have any section in my ASOS BIOS for Graphics configuration, and the registry key in Solution 1 doesn’t exist on my system. Where do I go from here?

Hello! Could you also send in your MSinfo to us? You can also stop by our support chat for further troubleshooting here

Could you try these steps to see if it resolves the issue

1 Log out from Vcam, then close the app
2 open file explorer on Windows, then paste this %programdata%\SplitMediaLabs\XSplit VCam then hit OK
3 Delete the CEFCACHE folder
4 Uninstall VCam
5 Restart your computer
6 Reinstall VCam
7 run the app as an adminstrator and try again
