Possible Installer / Updater File Clean-up Bug

I noticed I have a directory that is not being cleaned up by the updater at C:\AppData (this is not a typo). This directory appears to have been created during the update process.

There are installers from the last four versions here occupying 1.6GB. I think this is a bug that should be addressed. Directories are as follows:

C:\AppData\Roaming\SplitmediaLabs\XSplit VCam 2.1.2.2102.2601
C:\AppData\Roaming\SplitmediaLabs\XSplit VCam 2.1.2.2102.1801
C:\AppData\Roaming\XSplit\XSplit VCam 2.2.2103.2502
C:\AppData\Roaming\XSplit\XSplit Presenter 1.0.2104.2702

Hey @jjw thanks for the report. We’re also seeing this and you’re right, it looks like something isn’t right here. We’ll take a look in to it.

I have also found another 1.19GB of files under c:\users<username>\Roaming\

c:\users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Xsplit\XSplit Presenter 1.0.2104.1602
c:\users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Xsplit\XSplit VCam 2.2.2103.2502
c:\users<username>\AppData\Roaming\SplitmediaLabs\XSplit VCam 2.0.2011.1701

I have manually deleted the the following directories and reclaimed 2.79GB

c:\AppData
c:\users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Xsplit
c:\users<username>\AppData\Roaming\SplitmediaLabs\

So in both cases, the residual installer files are being permanently saved and duplicated. I recommend they be auto deleted and potentially be stored in a less permanent location.

Yep, of course. The installer/uninstaller should take care of these scenarios but currently doesn’t seem to be the case based on a bug. This is being looked in to and once again, thanks for the heads up.
