Vcam Application Won't Open

Just installed VCam and the application won’t open. Windows 10 64 bit. The splash screen will load then it just closes. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Running as an admin. Still just closes. Any ideas?

I too just purchased and tried installing. The program runs a hardware compatibility test which turns out fine. But when I press continue it just crashes

I am having the same problem!

Still having the same issue? Do you get any errors when it crashes, have you also checked if GPU drivers is up to date

I will give it a try

I updated my display adapter. No luck. Here is the error from event viewer:

Thank you for that, have you tried reinstalling VCam? And, redownload the latest version found here https://www.xsplit.com/vcam

@pete.panagakis Another thought, do you by any chance have any anti-virus software running? If so could you maybe try and add VCam as an exception or just try temporarily disabling it to see if that fixes your issue?

Good call. It was our ForcePoint content filter causing conflict. I am not sure if it is a .dll conflict or URL getting blocked. Does the applications make any web service calls? If so, we can unblock them.

Vcam won’t load for me, installed fine. I too have ForcePoint, not sure if that is causing the issue, but I do not have authority to modify ForcePoint. Suggestions?

Forcepoint just replied to us regarding this issue.

They advised us that you (as the user) should send a support ticket to them so they can check your concern, as this is most likely related to their existing security policies.

I am having the same issue, below is the crash report:

It started when my organization forced us to have “ForcePoint” installed in our system. I don’t have the option to remove or create tickets with ForcePoint myself, so going down that route is not really an option for me. I can suggest policy changes if anyone knows what policy is causing the issue.
